Took delivery of my Nashville 112 yeaterday Oddly enough just in time for a session last night. I actually took it out of the box in the parking lot of the studio. I thought to myself well if it aint all that I still have my 1000 in the truck so its all good. I went in set up and was messing with the settings. I got it adjusted and started out playing over the solo to "look at us" on E9th & went from that to "Hey Good Look'n" on C6th. The guitar player for the session came in and was observing my chops I thought. He was really looking at the amp. When I got through he asked " Are you plaing through that little Peavey ? " I replied yhep, just took it out of the box. I asked how do you like it. He replied you got to be kidding right, I replied no man thats all... Just this little amp. I was thinking the whole time.... MAN ... This thing sounds unreal.. I have 710's in my axe and man I can't believe how clear this amp is & how clean it is on the high strings above the 17th fret. I cant believe it will handle the low A on the C6th. It is absolutely incredible. I played past the 17th fret on the E9th neck til I gave myself a headache and didn't get the first crack in the speaker.
No wonder everyone's raving about this lil amp. Greeeeeat job Mike Brown. What ya printed on the front of this thing is true.. "HIGH DEFINATION STUDIO INSTRUMENT AMPLIFIER"
I was in such a good mood after the pleasing experience I had with this amp it just set the WHOLE mood for all the pickers last night and we ended up having one of the best sessions I am sure that any of us had ever been apart of. We knocked out 10 songs in about 2 1/2 hours and most of that was including the fellowship also. Wife didn't even get mad cause I was home before 11pm.

Buy a second one and take them to your gigs. Slave one to the other from the rear jacks and stack them. You will be equally amazed as you are in the studio.

It is due to folks like you that post product reviews that I, too, have a NV112. I have no other amp to compare it to -- nor any other background with a steel guitar to base my buying on. Thanks to posts like yours and past posts about this amp I'm happy with my purchase.

| I took one out to a gig on Sunday. Played my keyless GFI and a Lexicon LXP-1 in the fx loop. This rig sounded great!!!!!! |

| Been lugging around either a NV-400,session 400,or session 400 ltd,no more .I play 98% C6th and my new 112 solved the problem.Clean,clean,clean.About time. |

Since I bought my Nashville 112 a year ago both my NV400 and NV1000 are collecting dust.
I have yet to find a situation that the NV112 can't handle. Congrats to Mike Brown and the guys at Peavey for giving us an amp that we can all carry without breaking our backs.

I'm sure these great amps have their limits, but I've yet to reach them! All my work is in theatres, or in situations where my signal is D/I'd to the sound-board, and this little marvel delivers every time.
Right now I'm playing electric guitar on 'Cats', and the NV-112 is doing sterling work yet again - even with all the overdriven racket I'm forced to make for this very questionable 'musical' - so it's far from just a steel amp.
My NV-400 and NV-1000 haven't been out of the house in two years....

Hmm....I wonder just what that means. I've been sitting on the fence kind of hoping Peavey would come up with an amp matching the legendary Nashville 112 sound but with twice the power, thus eliminating the need to buy two of them for situations like my own. |

Can any tele players chime in on this amp?
I am using a 74 Vibrosonic for both PSG and 6 String, and love the warmth and tone but hate the weight. I love tube amps but could stop being a "tube snob" if the tones are there for both PSG and Tele...

I have read the all the posts praising the NV112 and I agree. The thing that stands out for me is how this amp maintains its tonal quality all the way from parlor volume to flat out. I have had mine since last May and I use it about 90% of the time. Once in
a while I just long for that good old Session
400 sound and go back to it for a gig or two.
I also use an Evans FET500 and a Fender Twin
for certain jobs. On the NV400, when they say active EQ, they mean it. Just a small
adjustment on a setting will yield a significant change, whereas on a Twin Reverb,
you might go a couple of numbers before you
notice a difference. Peavey seems to have wrested the ball back from the botique
builders on this one. |

The 'Cats' guitar-part demands overdrive (or 'fuzz', as the music says), for which I'm using a Boss Turbo Overdrive stomp box. I bought this from a Forum member after I'd despaired of getting a 'good' distortion out of my Profex 11.
There's also a lot of 'flange' required - this show was written in the early '80s - and I've borrowed a combined flange/phaser unit, but I don't know what make it is.
I have two 112s - one's at home in the practice room and the other's in the theatre - and I love playing steel through both of them! I'll be doing that at my next gig - fifteen weeks on the Medora Musical...
I wonder what else Mike B. has up his sleeve?

I'm playing either my Telecaster or my G&L Asat Classic on this 'Cats' show - I find the Tele tone very acceptable, although it's my opinion that this amp really shines with a Gibson guitar. I no longer have an arch-top (my old Super 400 went at auction), but the 112 sounds terrific with my Gibson ES-355.
My favourite Tele tone comes from my MusicMan 410-130, but, as I say, the 112 is very good indeed, and the difference is NOT worth carrying all that extra weight!

Well I got my first gig on my Nashville 112. The stage we were on tonite was a lil small so it worked out great. Very staisfied and very impressed. The gentleman that kept slipping $$ under my beer bottle must have been impressed too. Dude came up to me 4 times slipped money to me and said you making that flat top scream boy. Alomost paid for the amp in tips the first night. Especially when I only paid street price for it. Man this amp not only sounds great, it is lucky, AND almost paid for.....

Forget the amp..

I've been giging about 40 years,if I added up all the tips together it wouldn't reach $350
