There has been much discussion on the forum
about the settings of the NV 400 but nothing is ever said about the bright switch. Is it
pushed or pulled??? How do you have yours???

Hi there, recommend you keep it pushed in for steel guitar and just tweak your treble and presence controls. Lead guitar players may prefer to pull outwards on the bright switch for the extra boost.

I always used it "in" - too bright for steel if it's out.

Out, if I can get away with it. There is a sizzle that comes out of it on a good night. Other times it's too much.

Out for me. Then cut the highs with the treble knob. I like my highs to be bright. But they have to be sweet and fat.It has hard to find the sweet spot on the early non modifed Nashvilles. The later moded Nashville's with the 1501 SB were much sweeter. A much larger window to find that sweet spot..
