I love the Pro-fex mainly for the chorus sounds, dobro etc, but really love the tone of just my RAINS and LTD. Is there a switch that I can flip to go back to my steel/amp and then flip it back to the Profex for the 4-5 settings I like?

If so, will the "by-pass" postion be clean for just steel and amp? Thanks for helping me!

The Profex II does not have a bypass button or preset. That was my complaint as well. I suggest that you choose a preset that you don't use, delete all of the effects except for the 3B, 4B or 5B parameters and use it as a bypass preset. Everytime that you select that preset, it will suffice as a bypass preset, if the equalizer settings and gain levels of this preset are adjusted as much as possible to have no effect.

The original pre-set #21 is the closest you can get to a true by-pass. It has the 3B, Parameters only. I use it for tunning my Steel and my 6-string.

Merry Christmas to All !!

www.loop-master.com has a very nice true by-pass that will allow you to completely bypass any effects and go straight to the amp.
