I have an Evans in my possession for a trial period and I'm trying to determine which one it is. The model number on the i.d. plate just reads, E-200. And, looking at the Evans website all of the amps have E-200 in the model description. I weighed it on my bathroom scale and it comes up 41 lbs. None of the Evans on the site weigh that much.
I've done a search here and I see descriptions of high voltage and low voltage models with various speakers.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to i.d. this amp?

What speaker is in that amp? The newer Evans amps have an Eminence DeltaLite spkr which has a neodymium magnet. That magnet makes for a lighter speaker than the traditional speaker. The hi and lo voltage references are for the older FET500 models.

Jerry, I don't see a name on the speaker. It has a black shield over the magnet with a small screen vent in the center.

Jerry: I was thinking the Delta lite speaker brought the SE200 Evans weight down to 38lbs???

I had a 2003 SE-200 with the Delta Lite. It came in at 41 lbs, according to my bathromm scale (I weighed myself and then again holding the amp).

I called Ed at Evans Amp Co. and he walked me through a few things. The amp was made in '99, but it looks new. It has the 15" Evans speaker and it is the SE200 model.
