Who makes a good one that will play at 1/2 speed or slower and keep the pitch? Trap single notes/chords?

I recall Marantz, but I don't find these on their website.

Bob, if you have a PC and can get the audio into a .wav file format, The Amazing Slowdowner (from PG Music the BIAB folks I think) and/or Transkriber will do an even better job on a PC with a sound card.

Click here to learn how to modify your existing cassette player to play at half speed.

Windows Media Player does the same thing with mp3's...slows the tune way down, but keeps it in the same key. No need for special software with this.

Why not try the Tascam CDGT-1 - a CD player/guitar trainer on which you can adjust the tempo without changing pitch, and also adjust the pitch without changing tempo. Works great!
