What is the best way to hook up to a Stereo Power Amp? Any tricks to make it sound good. Thanks much!

If you have balanced inputs (XLR) use them. That will reduce ground loop hum and the speaker timbre switch on the back works with these outputs, if I recall correctly.

Not sure there is a best way! Keep in mind the volume and tone settings are set globally and only operate on the fly when a tube effect in s in the setting. The volume and tones must be set in the global mode while in a setting that does not have a tube in the chain (ala a Newman setting).

Be sure to check your memory battery for any signs of leakage. This can be the death of these units! Hopefully you have one that has had my battery-less memory mod!
Just remove the top cover to inspect (lots of screws to get this one off, but it is not too hard to do)

The manual states to use the unbalanced 1/4" outputs to a stereo amp, and how I connected mine. The rear panel speaker emulation selector switch will affect the XLR outputs and the Low Z, XLR, is good for recording or sending to a board.

In reference to the battery, If you plan on keeping the unit, have Ken convert it to the "no battery" memory mod. Get rid of the battery (used to maintain power to the user memory so user programs are not lowt when you power it off).

Jack is probably dead on the money, as he these more than I do! Also if you suffer a lot of ground loop hum a Hum-X by Ebtech will sold the problem. You can get one at Musician's Friend for around 60.00

Ken, I've never had any ground loop hum problems running the TT Fex with a Power Amp, either the MosValve 500 power amp or the Peavey DPC-1000.

That was all I had in the rack. If something else is added, then there is the potential for hum but with just the TT Fex and power amp there should not be any hum issues.

Peavey has the TubeFex manual available for downloading from their site (PDF format). It's about 98% applicable to the TT Fex also (the TT Fex has a headphone jack and the XLR output speaker emulation switch otherwise it's nearly identical and is programmed and uses the same programs.).

If you don't have the manual get the TubeFex manual from the Peavey web site. www.peavey.com
