Mike, I have a NV 400 and can't get the preamp out to work. Any quick fixes I might check? Thanks, Jack.

If the amp works,I have to assume that the signal is available at the preamp-out jack. Did you forget to turn up the gain control? Also, put some contact cleaner on a plug and plug it in the jack a few times. It could be dirty.........JD

That is a hardwired jack, so check the connection to the jack. If you are obtaining signal through the speaker, the pre amp out jack should be working.

Someone could have switched the Preamp out and the Poweramp in jacks by mistake. The Poweramp in should have a switchable jack but I am not sure about the Preamp out. Mike would know.
