I need to repair something and am unable to find the wire. I need 2 conductor stranded wire, 20 gauge or thinner. The original wire is flat, but round would even be better. Lamp cord would work, but is much too big. Thermostat wire is perfect, but solid. I only need about 5 feet. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Ron

If you've got an old dead computer keyboard or mouse you might find something like 20ga stranded in the cord.

The problem I have with most of stranded wire is that it's got a tarnish resistent coating that won't take solder at all.

I've purchased a cheap ($1.00) pair of headphones at garage sales and flea markets and just cut the cord off.

Reading the posts got my wheels spinning. The wire on an ac adapter would be perfect. I know where I can get one. Thanks for the suggestions.
