| Does anyone know where to find suitable replacement rubber feet for a Bigsby tone/volume pedal? Or what the screw lengths/thread measurements are for the feet, as well as the screws holding the bottom plate (which also needs to be made)? Not looking for original parts--just functional replacements. |

| Why don't you just try a hardware store, I'm pretty sure that's what Paul Bigsby did. Some of the stuff he used were just regular hardware store items ( thumb screws on the steel guitar legs, handles on his early steels, etc. ) |

My brother revamped my Bigsby a short while ago so I asked him what he used;
"The rubber feet for the Bigsby came from Antique Electronics at http://www.tubesandmore.com/
To save some time you can just type in "P-ECB-151" in the search box.
They are Dunlop Crybaby feet and are a near-perfect match for the old Bigsbys at $2.25 for a set of four.
As for the size and thread-pitch of the bottom plate screws, I don't know, but they are a common pan-head size and thread that can be found in any hardware store."
He also made a new bottom plate out of what looks like pick guard plastic, roughed it up a bit to look like bakelite. I had the hard part of putting the sticker on.

Garry--
Of /course/ by asking a worldwide audience of experts I was hoping for the easiest solution possible--but why didn't I just call, email or drop by? After all, you were there (January OC vintage show) when I got this. And I happen to have an AES catalog freshly acquired at the LA Amp Show 5/7. The original big screw at the top of the plate has sheared off flush with the housing. Mister Machine-Shop-Ignorant here will have to find out how to tap, drill or blast out the offending broken piece (or whom to pay to do it). if your brother would welcome the opportunity of making another plate, I'm all for not reinventing the wheel--yours looks great. (Or if you'd be game for sending me a tracing of yours, I'll email you my street address.) Like you, the one thing I can do is locate a source for the sticker and apply same.

I use these things all the time . . .
And the feet are very important!
Any foot would do for a carpeted floor.
But, if you are on a hardwood / smooth surface floor, the thing can slip!
If the rubber is old, it won't work here.
I have put a "contact adhesive foam rubber mat"
on the entire bottom of some of my V/T pedals.
I know it is not "Stock" . . .
But, it keeps me from having to chasing the pedal across the floor.

Hey Ben, I'm glad you got that pedal. I remember looking at it with you but didn't know you bought it. $85 was indeed a bargin!
My bro says he'll be glad to make you a replacement bottom as he does have some of the plastic left and the template. Email me your address and I'll send it along. He says he will send it out next week.
For that busted screw, try going to Home Depot and ask about a tool called an "easy out". They come in different sizes so just make sure you get the right one. Hey Ben and Bill, the repro bottoms are on their way to you tomorrow via U.S.P.S.
