would this be too much of a load for this little amp? Maybe use a fan to keep the output cool?

The amp will produce approximately 25 watts at 4 ohms.

Eight ohm speakers are a lot more common than 4 ohm, why not just use the right one? I have a Pacer that I put in a smaller cabinet (same size as a Nashville 112), and I have tried several speakers with it and they all sound good. Although it is overkill, probably the best sounding one is a Black Widow. I also used a long, 3 spring reverb tank, which really has too much decay time. I'll probably change it out for one with a shorter decay. The original short reverb springs were really "springy" sounding.

Darvin, that Pacer you restored got me onto this thing, I believe it uses discreet transistors like the early Sessions and other SS amps of that era, and I like that sound better, I need something light for casual picking events, the reason I asked about the 4 ohm is the Nashville 112 uses that and we know how well recieved that is, I put an eight ohm JBL in a Nashville 400, beside the drop in power the tone was nowhere as good as the BW 4 ohm, so I got thinking 4 ohms might just sound better
