searching for the term "RE200" on the forum brings up zero posts.

So, either no one on the forum has ever used it; or no one on the forum cares to talk about their experiences; or EVERYONE on the forum knows something about these amps and they just ain't talking!

So, what's the deal with these amps. Although they have a 10" speaker, the blurb on their website implies it should work for steel guitar as well as straight 6 string... Has anyone used one?

It would make for the perfect portable "carry-on" rig, along with the williams keyless U12 I have on order!

The site lists this description:

"NEW - Ron Eschete Enclosure The NEW RE amps were co-designed with legendary jazz guitarist, Ron Eschete. These highly portable amplifiers deliver unbelievable powerful solid tones with a lightweight 10" speaker."

The "SE" series are the Steel Guitar amps.

Since they were designed for jazz guitar, they may work for steel, but they are not "voiced" for steel.

Hi Jack,

I suppose your right. There are SOME comments about the AE100, which has an even smaller speaker, and seems to work well enough for some people. I just wondered wether anyone had ever tried putting their steel through one of the RE200's.
