I did a search and did not find much about the Mesa Boogie 20/20 stereo tube power amp. It seems like a really great idea. I was wondering if anyone has played steel through one. If so, what the set up was and what type of gig might this little guy cover for clean steel playing. Also, did it sound great?

Thanks, TC

Bobby Lee uses one. Here's a quote from another thread.

Lately my favorite sound is a Mesa 20/20 driving a pair of hemp cone alnico Tone Tubbies. It doesn't get super loud and clean, but at moderate volumes it's really sweet. My preamp is a Mesa too - all tube stuff.

If I were going to go with an amp for steel from Mesa, I would go with the 50/50 rather than the 20/20 if you want clean headroom .....The 20/20 would work for very small gig's or for home use , but it's not enough power to give you clean tone at higher volumes......Jim
