Well here it is, the big question you have all been waiting for.Thursday afternoon i went and bought a Lonestar amplifier from Mesa Engineering with a single 12" speaker in it.On this amp you can switch from 50 or 100 watts of solid state or tube power, avery unique feature in my opinion. This amp has one of the best reverbs I personally have ever heard. You can switch from warm reverb to brite reverb at the flip of a switch. Now comes the big test, will it hold up without breaking up? On E9th most definately it will, but i can't be to sure about C6th.Even on strings 6,8,and,10 in open position with no bar this amp did'nt bat a single eye,it did not break up,the cabinet did not rattle, nothing but PURE, SWEET ,TONE!!!!! For those of you who play lead guitar, and steel this is the amp for you.I also use a blackbox, and a hilton pedal with this amplfier.Bottom line is if you buy this amp,i personally don't think you will use any thing else for great E9th picking. The tone is "TONALLY AWESOME".
