I occasionally use a set of headphones when I practice late at night.

I use a set of 10yr old Sennheiser studio phones. The sound lacks a little low end in my opinion but that could be due to a lot of factors, age of the phones but more importantly impedencies and such. I find I have to turn up the master volume louder than I would without them. The sound is very clean though no distortion and seems to be well balanced.

Because of my living situation, "with headphones" is the only way I've been using
this amp since it arrived in December. At first, I didn't like it with or without (headphones;Grado SR-80's). After a week or two, it sounded fine w/headphones.
Just tonight I tried playing through the speaker; lowered the mids completely, boosted the treble and presence, left the bass where it's always been.CARDBOARD!
It just seems thin and sterile--waah, I want
to go back to tubes (and BTW, I'm using a Black Box with "it").
I thought of Scott Appleton and Ricky Davis'
comments about speaker break-in; maybe I'll
stick it out. Trouble is, I have nowhere to
break it in...waah...
Therapist to steel player: "I want you to use
this mantra, over and over again...TONE is just a state of mind, TONE is just a state of
mind..."
