Got one in today and can't seem to get it to work. It say it initializes. Then I try to load to it and I get "Not a Profex 2 Card". Well silly me, I know it's not, but I thought these would work!!!
Battery is good in the card, too! Write protect is off as well.
Maybe just the M-256D works???

Ken, I got this info from other postings on the forum. The Roland M512G or M512E are supposed to be compatible.
I can't confirm that as I never tried one, and I sold my Transtube Fex shortly after I bought the DPC-1000 from you.
Maybe the 256 card is too small??? |

Ken,
I have used the Roland M256E successfully several times in ProFex II, TubeFex, and Transtube Fex. I don't know what the problem could be.
Maybe some of the programs have been modified making the data too large for the 256?? I know a M128 will not work
As I'm sure you already know, the card normally(saves) loads on initialization.
Good Luck,
Bob[This message was edited by Bob Knight on 08 February 2005 at 04:36 AM.] |

Well, I have another one on the way and will test them both when another Fex unit comes in for repair. According to Roland and Crystal the M-512E will work in place of the M-256D and M-256E. That leads me to believe I have a bum card! |

I have used both 256-E & D and they both worked in my units. Very possibly a bad card. |

Hopefully I will have another Profex 2 or Tubefex in by tomorrow and can test it again. The other M-256E card should be here soon, I can do a comparison then as well. [This message was edited by Ken Fox on 08 February 2005 at 07:58 PM.] |
