I just wanted to thank forum member Rick Johnson for making me a beautiful Fender style 1x15 cabinet for my Dual Showman Reverb. His work is top notch and the price was excellent; not to mention the quick turnaround time and great customer service. I highly recommend Rick's cabinets. Thanks man! |

I just ordered a 2x12 cab from Rick, also mainly for a DSR. Saw his great looking work for Lloyd Green and for Ricky Davis. Good to read your review. Looking forward to this. And hey Rick--the check went in the mail this a.m.) |

Andrew, and John, I can vouch for Rick's cabinets. They are I had him build me one year before last, and I loaded a EV15L speaker in it,and use my 1967 Fender Showman Reverb head with it,and it sounds sweet!!! |

Thanks guys, I'm glad you liked them.
I have been doing this for several
years. I don't advertise anyhwere
but I did some cabs for Lloyd Green
last year and things have been
very busy since then. Just about
everyone has some extra speakers
that need cabinets and those older
Fender tube amps are becoming very
heavy. The solution is simple, just
separate the speaker and chassis.
I'm just thankfull for my portion
of work.
Regards

This is by far the best thing I've done in years; when I ordered these from Rick Johnson. Thank you Lloyd Green for telling me about Rick.

I don't have a website. I have a few
pics of some cabs.
I do a lot of replica Fender type cabs.
The color of tolex varies. I did a nice tweed Webb conversion for Russ Hicks but I don't have the pics to post.
Most guys just want a light weight
single 15" cab or a small 2/12 enclosure.
Special thanks to Ricky Davis for the nice
pics.

Just to add to these comments . Rick is a perfectionest when it comes to his cabinet work . I'm giving some thoughts to re-doing my Fender Vibrosonic that came from the factory with the 15'' J.B.L. D-130 . Yes it is the 100 watt ''as advertised '' amp . i bought it new in 1976 from Sonnys Guitar Shop here in Columbus . Rick is this how we planned this ??? Just kidding . See you soon R.J . Gary . |

Add me to the long list of very pleased customers. Rick built me one for my Session 500 and one for my 2x12's. Both exactly what I wanted.

Your old Fender is mighty clean, it looks
like its been storage for years. Maybe you
could let me use it and I'll trash it up
a little? huh?
Geo
Good to hear from you too, is it cold
enough up there? Its 70 degrees here
in old Ky.

Rick, we just had an ice storm and then 9 inches of snow on top of it, forcast for -25ยบ for tonight. I'm starting to wish Lefty's jam was this month, it's almost the bannana belt in sunny Iowa compared to here. I think Don Walters up there in Regina is sending us this cold spell. |

Rick you know how i take care of my equipment . If you were to move back up here we could talk about you using my old Fender Vibrosonic with the 15''D-130 J.B.L. from the factory ( just making someone drull ) . But we know that wont happen so i'm safe . Gary .

Just curious, is the JBL orange or grey?
I think most factory JBL's made for
Fender were orange. The grey JBL's were
sold to everyone else.

Rick, I may have you make me a separate speaker cab,and head cab for my Vibrosonic.
I played my Showman, and the cab you made me with the 15"EV I loaded in it at Gary's Jubilee last weekend, and had several good comments on the sound |

There is always room for another
cabinet, just let me know.
Jon, glad you liked your cabinet
too. I haven't tried 2/12's for
the steel yet.

Rick, when I get things ready, I'll have you build me a couple cabinets.
Gary, you need to trade your orange JBL in on a "Black" JBL,or a new Black Widow. |
