You can remove the screws around the volume/tone control plate, lift and look for a signature of a Fender employee with a date. My Dual Pro is Gloria 3/54.

Congratulations on the Custom, looks like a beaut.

I have an identical guitar, you'll love it. I'd say the value of the instrument is the price you paid for it, offhand.

Mine is identical, including color. But I haven't had the key head off to find out the date. I got mine in a trade with Bobby Black who was interested in a Dual Custom that I had. Plays great. I've always liked the sound of the Custom more than the Stringmaster.

I saw the sight where you bought it and I would say you probably paid about the going price nowadays! I have (2) Fender T–8 Customs and will be posting a site showing both of them before long. One was refinished 25-yrs. ago and I'm almost finished with my second one. This second one l©©ked about like yours does now, but; not for long! It won't be Original, but; it will be a knock-out and they are both very good looking/sounding steels now!

Basil,

I'd say $800-$1400 depending on condition. However, a never played once, stashed under the bed for 50 years without a scratch on it guitar would probably go for alot to someone who had to have a "brand new" one. I paid $500 for one that had been refinished and had three dead pickups. I paid $240.00 for all three pickups to be rewound and the magnets rezapped, so all in all, I have $740.00 in it.

Off topic, is that an AC-100 stack, next to the AC-30? I'm a closet Vox-head.

Nice guitar, CS

Ok Jeff, little problem.. can't take it to Kaneohe because I've already decided to take my "1000".... the rest of the excess bagage is ME !! and Pat's Hofner Jazzica... But I really do appreciate your offer, we can deal at a later date (When the dollar is worth about £20 stirling)or the temperature in Gehenna reaches -459 degrees Fahrenheit, please let me know when either occurs !!

I got the guitar here:-

Hi Baz...I have one of those and I find the pickups are not matched tone wise as well as strength. Do you experiencesimilar problems with yours? Sure wish I could find a solution to this problem. They are nice guitars...I paid tween 800 abd $900 for min. There are some scratches on the front at the aread of the logo, other than that, mine is well taken care of.

Kenny, I would bet that the magnets need to be re-gaussed. 2 necks on mine were weak when I got it. I built a Magger/DeMagger when I got into speaker reconing, so I popped them in there and blasted 'em.
They came out stronger that the "good" neck so I blasted the good one too.
Now they all have the same level, just slightly different tone. (Neck thickness, string gauge, slightly different number of turns per pickup, etc.)
Get 'em blasted and you'll be amazed.

Kenny- I had a real weak pickup and it turned out to be shorted- I sent it for a rewind. Any tech with a meter can read the pickup and tell you if that's the problem- if not, the zapping of the magnets should do it.

Hello,

I`m glad you`ve won my auction. But, there is a little problem...i am located right now in Rome,Italy,at some reletives. I will stay here for some time. The quitar is back home in London.
We can`t meet and do the deal face to face. But,i can ask my brother to ship it to your location. You give me your address and i will tell him to send the item with FedEx. I will handle all shipping charges. They won`t cost me so much.
How can you arrange the payment? If you could send the money here in Italy it would be great !
Thank you

Well ?
