Hello Eddie,
You can play a bass guitar through any amplifier, but the speaker is the limitation in this application. I don't recommend the use of a bass guitar with a Nashville 1000 because of the opened back cabinet. At some point the speaker will jump out of its gap and fail because the cabinet is not ported properly and the frequencies are too low for an opened back cabinet.
I highly recommend that you purchase an amplifier such as a TNT 115, TKO 115, etc.. Here is a link to our single unit bass amplifiers; http://www.peavey.com/products/shop_online/browse.cfm/action/final/wc/1A1B13/fam/1B1/c/3/tour.cfm
If you should have further questions, please feel free to contact me here at Peavey by calling toll free at 1-877-732-8391 and I will be glad to assist you.

Thanks Mike: I don't play bass but I was going to loan it to a friend for this weekend. His amp "went South", and he can't get it fixed before his next gig. Thanks again for the education.----------Eddie |
