Quite a while back someone posted a chart for the settings used on a Session 500 by many artists. Does anyone know where I can download a copy of same. Thanks in advance Joe

Here is the settings you asked about that were in one of Jeff Newman's newsletters. I have a 500 and these setting has always served me well. Otherwise, I never did get a good sound on my own. Seemed like it was tricky to set to suit my ears, but these work very well for me.

Pre 3.5
Low +11
Paramid -6
Shift 800
Hi -3
Presence +4
Post 5
Reverb 4

This is a word-for-word article that was given to me by a former 500 owner. I've never owned one, so; I have no opinion on the matter. Here is how it was printed:
500 Setting “We finally have settled on what we think is a good setting for the Peavey Session 500. I ain't sayin that you will like all of it, but; I do. Just start from here and see what you think. Reading the panel from left to right, you will get these controls in order with these settings:
Pre–Gain ------ (+5)
Low ----------- (+12 up to +15)
Paramid ------- (–3)
Shift --------- (800 HZ)
High ---------- (+6)
Presence ------ (–6)
Post Gain ----- (+5)
Reverb --------- (5)
The Cross–Over knob has no effect unless you are going off to another amp with the output. Leave at (0).”
So, I'm only passing on what was passed to me.
