Rosie Flores - MN State Fair

I was at the Minnesota State Fair this weekend and wanted to sit down for a rest. I wandered into the beer garden 'cause I heard some pretty traditional country being played. To my surprise, Rosie Flores and band were on the stage. Their steel player was playing a Fender Dual Pro. I got to talk to him for awhile after the show and he said he preferred that guitar over the Stringmaster. Also, he was playing through a rented Twin Reverb amp which he didn't like either. He said he preferred a preamp into at least a 1000 watt power amp for the headroom. He was afraid that he was going to blow up the Twin. Interesting to me that in that traditional setting he didn't like the Stringmaster or the Twin Reverb amp. Any comments?
