I just put a Pitman pickup in my Franklin on the E neck and I really like it so far. Its a humbucker that has a very nice caracture to it. Nice singing highs without the strident qualities of other humbuckers I've used and thick solid lows. I'll report more when I get some more bandstand and studio experience with it.

Anybody else out there using Jim's pickups ?

Jerry Fessenden uses them in some of the guitars he builds, and I believe he has them in his personal guitar. I heard him play at a steel show last year and his tone was excellent.
