Well where do i start??? I have two delta lite speakers. I have one in my Nashville 400 and the other in a speaker box I built.The way i hooked them up was I put jacks in the back of the AMP and the speaker box.It was working fine for about 3 months and then i noticed a couple of days ago the speaker box was not working. I took all the wires off both the Amp and speaker box and went direct from speaker to speaker and the speaker box still does'nt work.Is the speaker gone and why?? It was hooked speaker to speaker. The Nashville 400 With the Black widow speaker is 8 orm and these delta lights are 4 orms each so they should be alright hook from one to the other.Jim Smith if you read this thread you did mention about paralel. Is'nt it the way I had themfrom one speaker to the other.

The minimum speaker load that the Nashville 400 should "see" is 4 ohms. The only way to achieve a 4 ohm load on the Nashville 400 is when they are wired in series.
The Black Widow should be a 4 ohm unless a previous owner has changed it for an 8 ohm.[This message was edited by Mike Brown on 28 July 2004 at 06:10 AM.] |

| As I warned you in your previous post, from your description you have them wired in parallel when they should be in series. Two 4 ohm speakers in parallel give 2 ohms, which is below the minimum speaker load for the Nashville 400. Two 4 ohm speakers in series give 8 ohms which is not optimal, but is safer. |

How are you? Are you certain that the Delta Lites are 4ohm? I was under the impression that they were only available in 8ohm. |

| Sam, your 2515 Deltalite speakers are 8 ohm speakers @ 300 watts. IF you had them wired plus to plus, and minus to minus, and connected to the plus and minus coming from your amplifier correctly, you would have a total of 4 ohms loading your NV 400 which is what it wants to see. If your speakers aren't working check the wiring for bad/loose connections. Let me know how you come out. |

| If I am not mistaken, doesn't your Nashville 400 speaker just plug into the chassis with a 1/4" jack. If so, an easy way to check the speaker box would be to unplug the speaker in the 400 and run a guitar cord from the amp to the speaker cab. If that produces no results, try disconnecting the wires from the speaker in the 400 and connect them directly to the speaker in the cab. Best of luck. |

To check your speaker, touch a 9volt battery to the leads. If the cone jumps it is working. If it jumps out it is wired right. It is backwards if it jumps in. Tha would be +to+ and - to-.

| the Deltalites are 8 ohm only, if I'm not mistaken. a parallel connection would achieve the 4 ohm load the Nashville likes best. If they are 4 ohm, there is no way to get the proper load using two, series would be 8 ohm and parallel would be 2 ohm. I'm holding out for a BW type speaker from Peavey with the lite magnets. |

Ohms law: speaker 1 times speaker 2 divided by speaker 1 Plus speaker 2.
8x8= 64
8+8=16---64/16=4 ohms. Parallel connection.
Series connections are added 8+8=16 Ohms.

Thanks Guys for all the help. They are 8 orms each and they were hook up right it worked for 3 months and I play it 3 to 4 hours a day. I called Eminince today and talked to a gentalman name Ricky and he had me cut the cone and give him the serial number and I did and he is sending me one free of charge. Now that is what I call a great company they stand behind there product.I was told today that that is the same speaker they use in the Evans Amp.Once again thanks guys for your intrest.
