After reading the thread about "burning vs pressing cds", I have another question about scratched cd's.

Can scratched cds really be repaired with products like "scratch DR."? If the scratches are filled with some sort of fill material, it would seem to me that the burned or pressed areas of the cd would also be affected. Anyone have any experience with these products?

Hey John, the Scratch DR just seems to polish the playing surface of the disc using a liquid that they supply. I "scratched up" an old disc on purpose and used the DR and it worked great. It's worth a shot in my opinion.
