I had a weird voltage surge the other night when my dishwasher changed cycles. It seems that the surge took out my Monster Cable power conditioner and in turn zapped my Webb. I thought the power conditioner was supposed to protect my gear. I found that a power supply rectifier diode got cooked and was shorted. This in turn took out 4 of the 6 big output transistors. After searching for a replacement for the Webb's RCA1B04 transistors that the NTE87 was the right substitute. I found 6 of them locally and also 4 new diodes. I picked some 1kV/6A diodes (instead of the stock 200v/6A) to hopfully avoid this problem in the future. Works like a charm. Actually the NTE87's sound real nice. I haven't gigged with it yet but so far so good. So if anyone has had their power transistors fail in a Webb, it seems as though the NTE87 is the way to go. More reports as the testing continues.
