I have a Peavey Bandit 112 from about 1989 that has the Scorpion speaker. I have had it since it was new and really like it. I have been through many other amps, but have always kept this one around.

My question is: is it safe to add an extension speaker to this amp, or will it be too much for the amp. It is rated at 80W at 8ohms.

Thanks so much for your reply.

Hello Stephen,
If your particular Bandit does not have an extension speaker output on the rear panel, it is not advised that you connect an extension speaker in parallel. The reason for this is moreso that the output wattage will be cut by approximately half, and second is that the amp will operate hotter.
