Wiring pickups-grounding

What's the best way to ground the pickups? I have single coils in a SuperPro. Should I run a wire from the ground terminal on the input jack to the changer or any piece of metal on the guitar?

Dave...the Black wire(s) coming from the pickup are the ground wires...and usually it should have a bare spot in it..and ran under the raise spring bracket that is mounted to the bottom of the guitar...than onto the input jack. What that does is (when there is raise springs there; at least one of them..ha) this grounds the pickup to the changer/strings...and is proper grounding to the guitar.
So if there isn't that going on....>you can do that.....Or if you just want to run an extra wire from the ground on the input jack...back to that Bracket..that will work.
But make sure what ever you do....> make that ground on something that is linking to the fingers/strings...>like the raise spring bracket.

Thanks Ricky. These are Wallace TT rewinds so there is no black and red wire. It has one shielded wire and the braided wire. The braided wire is the ground, correct?

I've been enjoying one in the E neck for about a year. Jerry actually made his Sho-Bud templates from my pickups. I finally got around to doing the C neck. I love'em!
