Topic: Question about Fender Model 75 Amplifier |

I recently acquired a Fender Model 75 Combo all Tube Amp. It has a EV-S.R.O 15/L 8 ohm speaker.
It has reverb, and the output can be switched from 15 Watts to 75 Watts. It has a Black Face with the Fender Logo. It also has a foot switch that have Red and Green LED's that says Lead/Rev. It has a lot of features that the newer Amps have. I believe this Amp to be a 1980-1983? Can anyone tell me about this particular model?
I have no manual or circuit diagram on this amp. Any information about this model amp would be appreciated. Thank's |

You're right about the age, kinda cool amp, and all I know is that they're one of the Rivera era Fenders. Not too easy to mod, from what I hear, but they do sound good. |

| I used a borrowed 75 with a 12" speaker for a while a few years ago and I liked it. They are starting to get a following, judging from some posts I've seen over on the Fender Discussion Page. If you go there (www.fenderforum.com) and do a search, you'll probably find some info. You also will find info and maybe schematics at the Fender Amp Field Guide (www.ampwares.com/ffg/). |

A friend of mine had one a long time ago.
I believe it was a silverface, mid 80's. I didn't like it way back then, but i'd like to try steelin' through one.

I have had a few of these Princton,Concert,TwinII. A good tube sound,point to point wired easly modified. Hang onto footswitch it is unavailable and pricy to build. The 75's were the first ones
Each model is slightly different in power tubes, speakers and channel switching. I would be interested in buying any of these models. I'm playing my third Zumsteel and wish I had my first two. |

Roger
The Fender 75 first came around '82. It
has a channel switching design by Riverra.
That part of the amp is solid state, the
rest of the amp is point to point wiring.
I had a Fender 30 that was incorrectly
wired from the factory and I had to
bypass the channel switching. While on
the bench I had the tech "blackface" the
amp as much as possible. I liked the amp,
it sounded like a "beefy" Deluxe Reverb.
I liked the pull boost control feature.
OF course, I sold it for 250.00
