Mike I just bought a second hand Profex 11, and when I tried to program some of the Jeff Newman pre-sets as compiled by Jack Stoner, I discovered that there are NO "CF" and "NG" settings available on the unit.

Is my unit out of date? and if so, is there an upgrade available?

This is the unit I refer to http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=22669&item=2518942757

Just a note to say there was NO critcism of Jack's patches intended, in fact I applaud him for posting the patches, what I was questioning was if MY profex was missing a software/hardware update.

A customer called and questioned this same thing the other day. The best that I can tell is that maybe Jack mistyped "CF" instead of "CH"(chorus). I believe Jack uses a Transtube Fex instead of a Profex II and the Transtube Fex does have a "CF"(chorus/flange) effect. Perhaps he got mixed up?

I suggest that you verify this with him at
jstoner1@tampabay.rr.com

My only explanation is that Jack might have "miskeyed"?

"NG" which stands for noise gate, is available in software version 1.4.

Once again the Forum comes through ! I just received a Profex II and have been loading in the Jeff Newman settings compiled by Jack Stoner and posted for me by Pete Burak. Many of the programs included a CF setting. I skipped by those settings thinking I could ask someone on the forum about the missing CF.
When I opend the forum this morning, there was the answer. Thanks again Mike.

When you turn on the Profex II, the software software listing is shown in the LCD when you turn on the unit.

Contact our Parts Department to purchase the software update. They can be reached at (601)483-5365 from 8am-6PM CST.

Thanks Mike... I WAS hoping there was a more economical way of contacting Peavey... It's quite expensive from the U.K. and Europe in general.
