Question: Is the old Black Widow 15 inch speaker (with spider web on magnet), equivalent to the 1501-4 and if not, what is the difference. These speakers also have a shallower profile. Thanks

Hello Jim Bob,
The first series of Black Widow speakers of the late '70's all had the flat Spider/Peavey magnet structure, whether is was the 1501, 1502, 1504, etc.. So, what I need to know in order to answer your question is, what model of the Spider/Peavey Black Widow is in question? You can locate the model of your BW on the white sticker that is located below the black and red connection terminals on the speaker.

If you need further assistance with this identification, you may contact me toll free in the U.S. at 1-877-732-8391.
