I've got a couple of blown JBL D12F-6 12" speakers. Do any of you Forum members have a favorite recone artist?

Some of the prices I've seen on the web are up to $180 to recone one of these speakers. Hardly seems worth it.

Thanks.

Webervst will do recones of JBLs. They only charge $60, but I haven't heard anything about the quality.

Any pro recone with official JBL parts will recone a D120F with an E120 cone, which is quite different and won't sound the same.

There is an outfit in FLorida which I found on the internet which does it for $120.

I can find them again if necessary.

Some reconers realize that there are players who are goofy over these speakers, and so they crank up their prices accordingly..."a fool and his money...", yada, yada, yada. Shop around, and if anyone quotes you over $90, turn around and walk away.

Ask to speak to Gary Sunda, or Bryan or Eric
Sunda. This is a family operated company.
Gary was head of R&D at Randall Sound for years. Their work is outstanding and their prices are in line with anyone but their expertise and knowledge by far exceed most that I know. They are located in Orange County California. Gary was Donald D.Randall's right hand man at Randall Amplifier Co. You may remember Don,he was Leo's partner at Fender since day one and it was Don who was the mastermind behind the Fender operation. I wouldn't steer you wrong
my friend. If Don chose Gary over so many other engineers that speaks volumes of the kind of expertise they offer.

The telephone# is 714-554-8520.
They use nothing but original parts.

Tell Gary I reffered you. You wont be sorry.
