Have any of you folks experienced the corrosion associated with these amp chassis? It appears to be rust under the plating that appears through it in slash like marks.
Is there a remedy for this affliction? Any method for stopping more of this from forming?

Mike;

a good friend of mine who's a drummer and really into vintage kits etc. turned me on to something called Naval Jelly (basically phosphoric acid) that he uses on all his hardware. I've dabbled (pardon the pun) with it a bit and it does seem to neutralize surface rust; though this may not be exactly what you need it might be a good start.

This is available as a Loctite product and I would assume available at your hardware stores etc.

I had a quick look on the Loctite website and there appears to be a product called Extend Rust Neutralizer that may be effective as well.
