hey everybody,
I'm looking for a Carter Starter or similar in the $500-600 USD range. The closer to Vancouver, BC the better (seller must be willing to ship to Canada). Everybody up here wants about $1200 CAD (about 950 US) for one so I thought I might be able to find one for cheaper on the forum. Cheers eh. |

Check out Jory Simmons Post Under Instruments For Sale. He has a Cougar SD-10 for sale that is a much better buy than any starter guitar.

Scott, if you find you are still interested in a Carter Starter after exploring the Cougar, I will likely be selling mine in a couple of weeks once I receive my new Mullen SD-10. I'll need to check shipping costs to Canada, but I believe it will be within your price range.
I've found the Carter to be a good quality beginner's guitar, stays in tune, plays well, and you have the Carter people as a resource. Mine has never been out of the house and includes the original hard shell case, video, etc. I would have kept it longer, I just hooked into a great deal on the Mullen and couldn't pass it up. Clearly my talent doesn't merit the Mullen, but I hope to grow into it.
Keep me posted on your progress and perhaps we can talk in a week or so.
