Is the Goodrich Model 120 a stereo pedal? Can you run two amps at the time? |

The 120 is not a stereo pedal, that would require two pots with two inputs and two outputs. It does have two outputs so you can send the same signal to two amps. |

If your guitar is not a stereo guitar, I wouldn't think there'd be much use for a stereo pedal. The typical setup is to go mono into a stereo preamp/fx where you can send 'stereo' output to two mono power amps or a single stereo amp.
I think the two outputs are mostly for convenience -- I don't think it's much different from putting a 'Y' adapter on a single output, since there's just one input. |

Sorry about that question, I didn't really mean stereo in the true sense of the word. I just meant can run run the signal to two amps at once. I tried it last night with mine and didn't get a signal out of the second jack. It was late so I didn't mess with it. I'll try again, it's a brand new pedal and I was wondering why it would have two output jacks if you can't run two outputs simultaniously.... |

Well then, the answer to THAT question is YES -- if it is functioning properly you should be able to feed two amps, one from each output jack. So it sounds like you must have a short or loose wire to one of the jacks. Check it out and let us know. Goodrich makes great accessories, but sometimes stuff happens.

I use a Goodrich pedal with two outputs. I feed my rack with one output and use the other for a tuner. This setup doesn't affect the tone. I used to have the tuner in line and this arrangement DID affect the tone even with the tuner turned off.

Erv, that is a very good idea, running the tuner out of the 2nd output on the pedal. I am going to try it. I attached a strip of sticky back velcro to my tuner and the mating strip to the back of my guitar, just to hold it in place while tuning. By coming out of the 2nd output, I may just leave the tuner stuck in place the whole time I am playing. Also thanks for the $50.00 bill and the free tab to Amazing Grace. |
