I don't know what you mean with the # symbol before the number, but you might waht to check with www.angela.com. That is where I get my black cats and other vintage caps and resistors.

Robert, sometimes non-polarized caps (usually used in crossover circuits) are hard to find. Are you aware that you can "make" a non-polarized electrolytic cap out of two polarized ones? Simply take the negative leads of two 4.7uf caps, and twist them together and solder. Now wire the two positive leads into your circuit. Presto! You've just "made" a 4.7uf non-polarized capacitor!
