Ricky - you mentioned practicing with a metronome in a previous post. What kind do you use?
I'm thinking about one of the digital metronomes (korg, seiko, etc). Is anybody using one that they would recommend?
thanks,

Yes, Paul--I have a Sabine Zipbeat 6000. Under $20. The key feature for me is that it has an analog dial for tempo, not just a digital up & down tempo button. You can also choose accents options from no accent to accent every 6 beats. Also has an A 440 tone. Has an earplug. Won't do the dishes. But I do recommend it.

Hey Paul like Jon said...that'll work.
Mine is just a cheap Matrix Quartz Metronome, and you can get any of those at any guitar store(dime-a-dozen); but the reason I suggest it is the practice with the constant "A"440 tone.....for intonation issues.
Of course you can use the "Beats" for tempo and timing issues.....but the "A" tone is what I use it for mainly and is the only way I practice intonation.

If you practice near the computer, you can use Sonbone's free metronome that runs on your PC. Actually it's a drum machine but if you choose the click sound it's a metronome.

and download Basic Beats Rhythm Machine.

Be sure to get a black one. They sound the best.
