Does anyone know where I can get an original Fender Pickup rewound. Is it possible? I bought a Custom T3 and the guy said they were the original pickups that were rewound to keep it almost original Fact or Fiction?

J.M. Rolph in Kentucky was recommended to me by folks on the Fender Forum. This old Kentucky boy knows his stuff. He can even build you an "aged" pickup that would be really hard to discern from an original for looks and sound. He knows his stuff and is reasonable. He did a 1969 Strat pickup for me, could not be more pleased. Turn around in just a weeks time! He ships FedEx overnite back to you. Give him a call, he loves to talk pickups.

You should also talk to Lindy Fralin. He is a "master pickup guy", I have several of his pickups and they are all superb. A few years ago he rewound/rebuilt a very early Fender "strings-thru" pickup for me and did it perfectly. He was reasonably priced too. www.fralinpickups.com (I think,if not do a search and it'll come up).
