Hey out there. I need a little help.
Is a digitech 2112 really a effects processor
and preamp comibined?
Thanks for info on this and your feed back
regarding quality of the effects part and
the preamp if it really is a combo type
unit.

I've gotten a lot of mileage out of mine. I use it to drive my MosValve 500 for large gigs and also to go direct into the board for recording. You might want to check out my web page that covers The 2112 for steel players

Once you get the hang of tweaking the preamp modules and creating your own patches (explained on the page above) it's a great little box. The tubes really add to the warmth and you can use the tube preamp, the solid state preamp, or both, either in or out of phase. EMail me if you still have questions.

I have 2 of them, I use one at the Church where I play and keep one for a backup. I play both steel and guitar and have patches set up for both. When I switch from one to the other, all I have to do is plug in, and select the patch I want. I really like the sound and after playing with it for a while its pretty easy to tweak the patches.

How would you compare it to a peavey
tubefex with Jeff Peterson settings or
Newman either for that matter.
