Sorry I didn't get to comment on the prvious topic before it closed...but,

I think Rick is truly a compassionate and caring person to do the things he is doing for the lap steel community. I personally have enjoyed is willingness to share his talents as a player, technician, and just downright being friendly. I cannot believe anyone would want to dis Rick. I am deeply indebted to him for the assistance he has given me on more that one occaision.

Thank you Rick... and as Carl dixon would say "may God continue to bless you my friend,"

Whether its a simple snapshot, a sound clip, a hand drawn diagram on how to wire a tone control unit, a book length explanation written in the highest form with all of its technical details, Rick is most generous and giving and sharing with other steelers.

I attribute this to the endless hours he spent atop that high mountain peak....above the valley smog,in that rarified air, that has affected his brain in a simply wonderful way.

Then again, it could be in his genes.... In any event, he's a guy that will respond to your emails during the same month you write to him and will comment on all statements you made and/or will answer all questions asked. We are very, very lucky to have Rick on this FORUM.
