I was just wondering if any of you pickers have used or are using the Line 6 Pro Pod for steel and what comments would you have to say about it.
Best wishes.

Killer organ sound, use the blackface simulation when I play the waylon, outlaw songs, the distortion is great. The straight pre-amp is very clean. I like the tap delay settings also.

For steel, I won't go back to my Boss stomp boxes.

Hi Clay, Long time no speak! I don't have a Pod Pro, but just a regular bean shaped one. The Pro model has a digital out, XLR's for the analog outs and is rack mountable. Everything else as far as amp models and processing goes is exactly the same. If I remember correctly the Pro model is about twice the price of the bean shaped one. I use mine plugged directly into the power amp on my Vegas 400. I also play guitar thru it too. For clean steel guitar sounds I use the Deluxe Reverb model. For dirty sounds I might use a Fender Tweed or a Vox Ac30 model. I'm with Raymond on that Leslie speaker simulation, add a little distortion in there and you now have a Hammond B3 steel guitar. It's good on rock tunes when you don't know what to play! It's a cool little box, and worth trying.

Do you know how the Line 6 Pro Pod's Leslie patch compares to the Hughes and Kettner Rotosphere sound?

Hi Glen & Raymond....
I'm currently using a Lexicon MPX-100 and a BBE Sonic Maximizer into my Nashville 1000 or 400 (depending on the situation)and I've heard alot about the Line 6 unit. So I was just curious as to what you fellas, who are using it, thought about it's overall performance.

Jim, since I don't have one, I can's step up to your question. Maybe we'll get some other responses.

Thanks for the feed back guys.
Best wishes.
