Got a little extra cash and Christmas time's a'comin'.
Profex, Tubefex or something else? I generally just use a little delay into a Peavey amp. Working country band, tradition and modern tunes. Would like a little more variety and the opportunity to model some different sounds. Opinions solicited.
Thanks. |

Depends on how much $$ you have. However, all the Peavey units are out of production so anything you buy will probably be used. There may be a few new Transtube Fex's or TubeFex's sitting in some music stores. If you go for one of these units, go for the Transtube Fex. It has a headphone jack and a CD input jack for practice. Also, the solid state model is much quieter than the tube model.
If you are just using delay, there's no reason to buy a stereo preamp/programmable effects unit. It's overkill. |
