Anyone know anything about lap steels made by Crafter's of TN. A friend of mine said he saw one once and thought it it was a nice looking guitar, but didn't know how it played or sounded. Was talking with a guy out in TN this morning and he brought up the subject, said he knew of one for sale.
Any thoughts on them? |

There's one on eBay now, with a BIN at $1.023. Since the ad claims that "very few of these were made" I guess they don't make them anymore?
The complete ad can be found here.

Actually, I was guessing that they're brand new, after seeing listings like this oneon several sites. They're listed at $750, but nobody has a picture of one. |

Thanks Steinar, I didn't see that one on my morning rounds of Ebay.
Russ, I got the impression that they were not new because the guy I spoke to said they were rare. But I guess rare could mean rarely made. He also said the one for sale was $800, I thought that was kinda high at first. Thats why I asked here to get some info on them. |

I'm with Russ on this one. Looks like a new product. Kudos to anyone who decides to make a new, high quality lap steel. |

Always curious about new lap steels, so I went to their website but there's no info to be gathered about an electric model there..
Though the model listed on eBay didn't appeal that much to me, it would have been nice to see a photo of one of the new models that Russ refers to.
