Pignose Parts Problem

My Pignose Model: 7-100 (R) is in need of
a new INPUT jack [receptacle] and a new POT/VOLUME switch.

I've sent off emails to the Pignose Co. inquiring about replacement parts, and they have yet to respond. This was about 3 weeks
ago, and frankly, I've given up.

I got into the area where these parts are located and they look like rather off-the-shelf-hardware. Are they? Or do you have to use the 'real McCoys' from Pignose?

Does anyone out there have any kind of expertise with Pignoses? Would sure like to get it fixed. Both parts in question are
scratchy and break up. Drives ya nuts!

Chip-- Never saw or used a Pignose but am sure any off-the-shelf jacks and/or pots would work. Assuming, of course, you stay close to the value/type of the original pot.

There WAS one reference on the Pignose forum to a place in New Jersey that carried some replacement items. If you require it, I'll try to hunt it up, again. --Everett

Thanks Ev, for the info. I'll look closer at the parts and see if there aren't some ID #'s
or such and try to pick them up around here.

Even if they do not work, I'm sure I won't be out too much ($).

BTW, the input receptacle is not just a common 2-terminal unit. It's a small plastic box with 6 terminals, and I think, only 5 wires soldered to it. Two wires go right to the 'pot'.

Anyway, I'll look around here and see if I can't find something.

The extra terminals on the input jack probably cut the power when you unplug the guitar (battery-saving feature).
