I use the AC adapter instead of batteries when playing with the Hilton Sustain unit which clips on the right leg.
The insert part of the cord keeps slipping out of the bottom of the unit. Anyone else have this problem?
What is the remedy?

| Roy, return the Sustain Unit along with the power supply and I will look at it. Send to Keith Hilton 615 Shary View Road Branson, Missouri 65616 I have never had a similar problem. I have had guys who crushed the tip of the power supply cord with the legs of their steel guitar seat, on the floor, making it "un-round". This is easy to do and not know it! Make sure before you send the unit back, that the tip of the power supply is round. If it is not, then the legs of the pack a seat have crushed the power supply cord tip. Hi Keith:
Thanks for your post.
I just checked the end of my power supply cord that plugs into the Sustain unit and it is perfectly round.Absolutely no damage whatsoever.
The receptacle in the unit also looks perfect.
Would it be worth trying a Radio Shack adapter as an alternative to sending my Sustain back. That would take a lot of time.

| Roy, you can buy a replacement adapter at Radio Shack. Here is the Radio Shack number 273-1773 When you buy this adapter, they give you a tip. Tell them you want the "N" adapta-plug tip. Plug in the tip where it is plus. If this doesn't work, you will need to send the unit back for me to look at what is going on. |

I'd suspect the jack and not the power supply cord end. The spring that pushes on the connector, to hold it in, might be broken.
A few years ago I had it happen on a portable CD player.

| Another solution would be for me to send you the receptical connection. You won't find them at Radio Shack. It has to be the plug or the receptical. If it still doesn't work after you check the new Radio Shack adapter, I'll send you a receptical. Easy to change, just solder on 3 wires to the same terminals. |
