Do you use rubber or plastic leg gliders? Which is best on what surfaces?

I always used rubber ones (I presume you're talking about the steel's legs). If you don't put something in them, like a 1/4" flat washer, the legs soon cut through the rubber. If you have an old Fender axe (the legs are a little larger) you can use a penny! I don't want the thing moving around, and with plastic leg-tips, it usually will! It also helps to stick them on with a little 3-M adhesive, or RTV. A good rubber set lasts me about 5 years. But, once they get old and hard, they will tend to slip too.
