Hi everyone! I'm getting ready to build a lap steel using my Tele pickups(either from my Squier Affinity(flush polepieces) or a set from a MIM '69 Thinline RI(staggered polepieces). Would there be an imbalance in volume from the staggered polepieces? I'm not sure which pickups I want to use(well, I'm only using the bridge pickup).

Hey Corwin-
Sounds cool. I don't know anything about the polepieces. Are you going to use the stock tele string and pickup mounting plate together? Or are you going to mount the pickup to the wood body? Just curious- Good luck with it.

Not using a Tele bridge unless I find one cheap, but I'm gonna use a metal plate similar to it over the pickup.
