Polytone Mini Brute

Has anyone used one of these amps for steel ?
I know they are great for Jazz Gt..

Here's my $0.02:

These amps are OK for jazz guitar. The jazz guys love them because they are very light and clean. IMHO these guys (e.g. Kenny Burrells, Wes Montgomery) sounded way better with Fender amps. I personally don't care for the sound of the Mini-Brute.

The Mini Brute amp does have a vibe with a guitar such as a Gibson ES-175. I had a Mini Brute and I used it with steel for reherasals
at low volumes. However, I also had a Polytone 102 amp with 1-12" & 2-8" speakers and this is the amp that Joe Pass used. I had the amp for 22 years and never had a problem and it had warm jazzy sound.
