| Hey guys.How does the boss rv-3 sound?I am looking for a good reverb and delay pedal.It seems like a good choice since it has both,and not too expensive.I,ve never heard one but I,ve heard good things about it.I,ve just been using the standard peavy reverb.Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

I just got an RV-3 for Christmas. It sounds great, but be sure to get the power converter when you get it. They eat batteries at an alarming rate.

I have a Boss DD-3 delay and its a great little delay,but im not happy with the reverb
in my Nashville 400.How much better is the
reverb in the RV-3 than the stock reverb?

| On my RV-3 I set the mode knob to 4, delay time to 8 o'clock feedback all the way off, balance to 8 o'clock. This gives you a little bit of reverb and delay together. I've never tried it with just delay, but there are many ways to adjust it. I also run a little reverb from my Nashville 400 too, about at 2. The RV-3 is very sensitive so you have to be carefull how far you move the knobs. The book has a number of recommended settings. And the advice about the wallwart is true, they are really hard on batteries. The units have a great sound and are easy to carry around. I think more and more steelers are using RV-3's instead of rack systems. LH |

The DD-3 doesn't have a reverb feature.My question is,how much better is the reverb on the RV-3 than the stock reverb on the Nashville 400.

Frenchy at Frenchy's Pedal Steel Guitar Shop in Behlen, MN turned me on to mixing the RV-3 reverb with the spring reverb of a combo amp and does sound nice.
If you leave the Nashville 400 reverb set low
it is very useful on faster songs and you can kick in the RV-3 with the amps spring reverb for slower songs for a more spacious sound. It's very useful & pretty cool!
