... wrapped in packing tape and addressed to me, could mean only one thing: my Rickenbacker horseshoe magnets were back from a visit to Dr. Rick Aiello -- scientist, musician, metalsmith, fellow bulldog owner and father of three small kids!!

They look great. Rick polished them, staying calm even as the chrome began to diappear, revealing a layer of copper, then the original layer of chrome. (He can explain.)

They were pretty easy to reinstall, thanks to the instructions Rick included. (They had come out of the guitar pretty easily, thanks also to his step-by-step instructions.)

The guitar now sounds ... well, it sounds ... well ... actually, let me put it this way: the pickup really picks up now! I had been pretty happy with my post-war B-6, but I never had any idea how much more it could deliver -- what a difference a fresh jolt to the magnets makes!

If you're new to "No Peddlers," or haven't read the appropriate threads, Rick does this work gratis, asking only that we send a donation to bOb to support the Forum. The check is in the mail, Rick ... but I feel the need to say one more time: thank you very much -- you are an amazing guy!

Rimshot!

I was sure you couldn't resist a topic with a name like this one, Howard -- and it looks pretty interesting when juxtaposed with Ron B's "Take a look at this mess ..."

I just got back from a LONG three day weekend in Ocean City ... with the family.

Now I need a vacation ... BAD

Russ, the baby wipes are my standard shipping box for magnets ...

I have to get "the OK" from both Ellie & Emmie on which "characters" get sent ...

All h@!! broke loose when I sent Jason a set of H-Shoes in a "Lion King" box ...
