I work with one fiddle in the band. We do some parts together. Would like an occasional twin fiddle sound.
Does anyone have a suggestion on what settings to use on the Profex II to accomplish a simulated fiddle sound. Or are there better fuss devices available?
(I have played octaves w/ a fuss years ago).

Thanks
Jim Watkins

If there was a patch like that, I'd go back to the ProFex!

Couldn't there be some way of digitally reading a sample of a fine violin or viola sound and creating a dedicated unit with an EQ stage that matches tonal characteristics of the sample, like the Match-Bro does with the dobro?

Try about any distorted setting and play unison strings with a very slight slant on the bar for a slight detune. Alter the amount of slant to where you here beats and a violin sound that you like "if you find one". I like the 2nd string lowered whole tone with the 5th raised a whole tone they are in unison then gently pull them slightly out of tune with each other. This might help, can't hurt to try it.
