If I have a Nashville 400 with the LeMay mod installed, and want to try using a ProFex (or TransTubeFex, etc.) with it, would I need to/want to, have the mod in the ProFex also? What about the other way around - ProFex with mod and amp without mod?
Just wondering, since I now have 2 400's, on with and one without mod. |

Not really.
The mod in either one is great !
If both have the mod, all the better.
I have both (Nashville 400 and Profex II with the mod)
I have used them together and the 400 only with a stomp box(DD-3). Works fine, good tone, unfortunley really bad playing by the operator.

Hi Mark - Most guys (not everyone), use the Profex II/Transtube Fex as the preamp and go from there directly into the power amp input of the Nashville 400. I believe both the Peavey and the Lemay mods are in the preamp section it won't matter matter sound wise whether the Nashville 400 has the mod when hooked up as described above. < Results may vary > |
